ANNAPOLIS TRIATHLON CLUB.
- President Jeremy Parks and VP Tom Smith will be meeting with County, State, and City officials over the next few weeks to finalize details for the 2008 Annapolis Triathlon that is expected to occur in conjunction with the Maryland Seafood Festival and will use the Sandy Point Park for the transitions. The courses for the bike and run are still being worked but the bike portion is expected to transit through downtown Annapolis to give participants and spectators the best possible opportunity to see the city.
- An Annual Club Meeting is being planned for March 18. Location TBD.

-The Recs and Parks Youth Triathlon will be held on 15 June. ATC will be providing material and volunteer support. -Check out our new race in Maryland featuring the first ever Triathlon to be held at Cascade Lake, a beautiful privately owned water park near Hampstead in Carroll County!! The Cascade Lake Triathlon & Duathlon is located just 32 miles from Baltimore and 60 miles from Washington DC!! Start with a fresh water beach start swim, take on a hilly bike course, and enjoy the scenic paved run in the rural country roads of northern Carroll County, Maryland!! ATLANTIC CYCLING What are the features of an Atlantic Cycling Tour? Atlantic Cycling Tours feature fast and friendly registration, club officers ready to answer your questions or lend a hand with a maintenance problem, accurate cue sheets, clearly marked routes, long(60-65) and short(35) ride options, and our famous rest stops. The rest stops are fully stocked with fresh fruits, Gatorade as well as a wide variety of sweet and salty munchies. We also always have on hand bread, peanut butter and jam for the standard stick to your ribs food. We promise, you will not be disappointed!! Where are the rides? See the side bar of each of the Atlantic Cycling Tours. Under each ride you can view highlights and directions, read a recap after the ride occurs, and enjoy a photo slide show from the tour. We have our own amateur club photographers, but please, anyone interested in taking photos on the ride, let us know, or simply email them to our webmaster so that they can become part of the slideshow and the history of our club. When can I register to become a member or for a ride? We do not require pre-registration for becoming a member or for riding. The price is always a very reasonable $10 per ride. There is also an annual Atlantic Cycling membership fee of $10, which includes a premium (t-shirt or socks etc). All this can be accomplished on ride day with our very organized registration station. We believe in keeping things simple for you and for us too! ANNAPOLIS STRIDERS.
- It was reported to the Board that the Cold Turkey 10k was $5,000 over budget.
- The course for the Metric Marathon in October may change but is expected to get County and SHA approval. Discussions are underway to do the race in conjunction with the Howard County Striders.
- It was announced that a new Lifetime Achievement award would be presented in Ben Moore’s honor.
-The Board is investigating putting $350,000 currently in club accounts into an Endowment |

-A memorial service for retired Marine Lt. Col. Ben A. Moore Jr., 82, of Annapolis, will be held at 10 a.m. March 6 in the Naval Academy Chapel. Interment will follow in the Naval Academy Columbarium. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.

FLEET FEET ANNAPOLIS to host ZOOMA Women's HALF Marathon and 10K Training The ZOOMA Women's Half Marathon and 10k are coming to Annapolis on 1 June 2008 and Fleet Feet Annapolis is partnering with RunAnnapolis.com to provide a training program to get you ready for the race. The Zooma training program will begin on 1 March, 2008 and the group will meet every Wednesday at 6:00 pm and Saturday at 7:00am for the 14 week program.
